NILCOTT® Recycled, the material with the largest share of recycled cotton

NILCOTT® Recycled is a material that contains 50% recycled cotton rare ring spun yarns that are close to organic cotton quality and 50% organic cotton. At the same time, we modified this material to be 100% molecularly recyclable. But we are not slacking off in research. Our goals are high. One day we want to make clothes from 100% recycled cotton.

Sustainability down to the last thread

Cotton is widely used and at the same time one of the most environmentally demanding textile materials. Up to 2,700 litres of water, over 4 kg of greenhouse gas emissions and many chemicals and pesticides are used to produce one t-shirt. At NIL Textile, we brought the impacts of cotton to minimum. One kilogram of recycled cotton saves up to 14,740 liters of water, 23 kg of CO2 emissions, 56 kwh of energy, 1.1 kg of chemicals and 10.5 m2 of land.

NILCOTT® Organic, 100% recyclable organic cotton

For lovers of soft organic cotton, we developed the NILCOTT® Organic. Fully circular material made from 100% organic cotton that is 100% recyclable. After the first recycling mechanical recycling loop, NILCOTT® Organic is used in NILCOTT® Recycled production and turns into a new NIL Textile product.

Where does NILCOTT® come from?

We obtain the raw material for NILCOTT® Recycled from our suppliers in Spain. Fabric production and clothing sewing then take place in our workshop in the Czech Republic. Production and sewing of NILCOTT® Organic cotton take place in certified production facilities in Greece. The methods of recycling are then the same for both circular materials – they are either mechanically recycled in Spain or molecularly in Austria.
